Finally a chance to sit and collect thoughts. Last week. Norfolk, mother arrives, I arrive back home. Finally Jennifer and I have the house to ourselves and a chance to hear ourselves think.
Wednesday off to SLC then STL then home. Only a week on the road....
Sunday, 16 October 2005 22:27 Lots of house work Home
Did lots of house work and sleeping today, made bread which turned out great. Put together maps. Tried out the new luggage for tomorrow's trip.
Saturday, 15 October 2005 21:17 Rollaboard is a piss poor name for a product line Home
So today was lots of errand running. Went to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and requested new personalized license plates, updated the addresses on the licenses, and updated the registrations.
Then it was off running for stuff at Home Depot and JoAnn Fabrics to prepare for reupholestering the dining chairs. Bought a new bed for the guest room. Bought new sheets for the new bed. Think Hawaiian theme. Then off to get new luggage as my luggage has seen better days.
So I was going to buy the TravelPro Rollaboard 24" case. It says, roll aboard, so hey it must be okay as a carry on, right? Their tag even says it meets all the requirements.
Nope, Jennifer had a good idea to call United, the airline I fly the most, and ask. Their maximum carryon is 9" x 14" x 22". They did have a bag that met that exact dimensions. Man am I glad we called.
Friday, 14 October 2005 21:51 Some times life is happening around me Home
Today was just another typical day. The biggest oddity was going food shopping and actually finding the stuff we needed easily. Usually I just wander up and down the aisles cause I forget what we need and where it is.
Wednesday, 12 October 2005 22:50 Tired Home
Work gets in the way of living some times. Finally home from NYC.
Wednesday, 5 October 2005 0:23 Here we go again Home
8 year anniversary today.
Now off to a 6 day biz trip. What a tangled web.
Tuesday, 4 October 2005 0:08 Interesting Data Day Deep in Numbers
Spent most of the day troubleshooting the monthly report. Turns out the data is being corrupted and no one seems to know why. So I went through and correct 675 records manually.
Sunday, 2 October 2005 16:09 Like I said, I am not sure what is going to happen of this writing Home
Some days I just have nothing to say, so I say nothing. Other days I figure it is best to not put personal stuff out there as it can cause more problems then it solves. This weekend is one of those times.
Dang!
Friday, 30 September 2005 0:25 Long Day's Journey into Night Home
Did I mention that work travel is tiring?
Thursday, 29 September 2005 0:09 Wasting Time in St. Louis St. Louis
Should have made this a two day biz trip... man has it been painful to waste time. At least I got some work stuff done. Almost a full day worth, plus.
During a discussion with someone this came up "It is simply human nature. I am still fighting the sloth problem of not wanting to run, I need to internalize that health is something I want to do not just do for a period of time" That is very true
