Diaries & Work Log

My commitment is to keep a daily diary and notes about GC practice for 1,000 days. This commitment started on May 26, 2002; the one thousandth day will be February 19, 2005. Last time I kept a journal for this length of time I was in college and it was separate from Guitar Craft. I still have the notebooks on the shelf in my study.

This project is as an exercise of commitment. I have found that it is very easy to make a commitment, however it is much more difficult to keep the commitment. By posting my diaries, I have made my commitment public. There are people that will pester me if I do not keep it up to date.I have found it helpful in a few ways, it is a way to look back at the day and take stock. It also provides me a way of communicating with people, without intruding. I have found that doing this task at the end of the day is a nice bookend to the morning sitting.I reviewed the diaries this weekend. I decided that there were some navigational changes I wanted to make, plus as a result of some of the programming I was doing at the office, the new format is easier for me to create and maintain. So as you look around, you will see that there are various formats, some are new, some are gone, and some are simply repackaged.
